Ai art isnt art no matter how one defends it. A machine is making art off of prompts. If you want to be a writer, cool become a writer and then you'll be a type of creative that can be aligned with art. If you're typing words into a text box and claiming what a computer can imagine (or steal since its learns from other peoples art), as your own, you're really just a crook.
So theres really two things determining whether they're a crook or not. How they identify (claiming they're a visual artist when they make ai stuff) and how they make prompts (typing in "key words" or writing genuine stories and using beautiful imagery to convey something to the viewer, which is something they dont do). They have to pass both of those requirements. I can guarantee, however, that if they're making ai art, they fall into the problematic categories. Its never "Check out what ai made with my story" its always "check out what I made with this ai site"
