For many commenters here it may be a tough task to realize, that 'Art' never has been solely about 'craftsmanship', and that a change in the definition of the term 'art' itself is overdue. Many of those who have the talent, the will, the time and the ideas to create a painting from scratch with their own hands - are still not much more than illustrators, and more often than not also simply mimic already existing styles and ideas. And don't even get me started about Photoshop and other digital aids, many of you use, but 'real artist' from the past would be guaranteed to frown on. Yes: AI art is not mainly about the MAKING of images, but much more about FINDING them or hunting them down, resp. in the infinite landscape of all possible images. But this is a philosphical and intellectual concept - and obviously many of those who claim to be artists here are mainly practitioners, but thinkers not so much. It took photography about 70 years to become accepted as an art form in it's own right. This happened more than a hundred years ago, and came against much resistance from the painters of those decades. Think about it. The (art) world isn't mere black or white - and never was. Though there are photographers who insist, that only black and white photos are REAL art in the realm of their technical medium. pun intended.
