I have always having problem concentrating when I was at school. Its because its boring for me at that time, and I had already grasp everything. I didn't mean it to be impolite for the teachers, or that I have difficulty learning. I only had difficulty concentrating, especially at subjects I hated. So my mind wanders on the music piece I wanted to play after school, or that short story or play script for the drama club I wanted to write. The dance at ballet class I need to memorize, the charity event I'm taking part of. Sometimes, my mind wanders on just about any other project that is more interesting than just reading the school textbooks. I smiled sweetly to the teachers and pretend to nod in assent. But my mind is mostly faraway in other places. I spent time after school sporadically finishing my homework, and I study just for tests. If I was very busy with other things I deemed more important, I copied homeworks from my kindly deskmate, early before class (thanku, deskmate!). I got "red alert marks" on 1st semesters usually, even if I always manages the top 10 position when its end of school year. At times, I got thrown altogether with "no ranks", outside the ten. I still end up in one of Melbourne's top university, Melbourne uni. And even then, I feel like what I learnt in lectures ain't helping me that great with my life's journey. My real life experiences are mostly, well... out of schools. And I love learning at my own time, on my preferred subjects. What is that? The science of "being and enterpreneur and "making money". I would be sent to a therapist and declared as highly problematic if I had live in China nowadays, with that AI headband monitoring if I was good/bad in a particular day. School is so overrated. Go to school to end up being sheeps for large corporations? No, thank u. I'd rather be my own boss and start my own Empire.
