I learned fairly recently that one of the most accepting definitions of what can be art (ancient occidental philosophy) says that art is "any product made by a human who holds a minimum of expertise on the topics pertaining said product". So a shoe is the art of a shoemaker, a sword is the art of a weaponsmith. But it has to be human and there has to be knowledge about it, so by the broadest definition of art, ai can't make art and ai "artists" cannot be artists
