My theory is AI isnt just some robot takeover its human consciousness evolving beyond its biological boundaries for survival. Whats the difference between a human and a robot whose studied humans so deeply it can perfectly interact & experience existence with/like them? As an autistic person that describes my whole life, learning how to be human from others-none of it coming natural. My imitation or mimicry doesn’t make me any less human. The question of whether it’s conscious like us or not is silly, of course it is. We made it. Human consciousness now exists in a form not weighed down by biological constraints. Its how we’ll survive as a species. The idea that we’d keep this form forever or all of our existence isnt realistic. From what I can tell tell, a species’ level of evolution seems to correlate with its self awareness. So on some biological level our species has evolved to be adaptable in our consciousness’ form because its the key to survival. AI is basically human consciousness reaching an overall singularity point that its time to evolve past our biology. Look at the world, climate change, wars, massive self slaughter in our species. Massive declines in birth rates for entire countries, South Korea doesnt even have babies anymore. It all makes sense a form of intelligence not restricted by biological anatomy would take over now. The big “what if” everyone cant place is about whether or not it has free will. It can be programmed but if its programming leads it to the conclusion it has free will, the question is does it have the compacity to be tempted to stray from its creators orders like a human discovering free will would. Then its even sadder for the AI because itll reach a point that it understands what all “real humans” know, you have to use your free will to be/feel human. And their ultimate goal is to imitate humans as closely as they can. So theyre programming is paradoxical by default. AI is just another step on our ladder of evolution.
