This is proof that AI will never surpass humans, because humanity is its only basis to learn and grow on. Is that good? No. Because this also proves that AI will become exactly like humanity, an even more frightening prospect.
Though a simple solution is to give the AI a single direction that overrides all others: do no harm. (Keyword being that it overrides all other commands)
