There’s a price we pay for technological advancement. Humans have destroyed things for many years.
The guys sister lays blame on the parents for leading him into the depression in the first place with their religious views. The parents obviously thought they were doing the right thing, but humans often don’t make the best judgement, particularly if their views are biased.
AI clearly ufcked this one up and bears the responsibility for him taking his life… but his own parents “love” is no less liable, particularly if it was as abusive as the sister said it was.
I’m willing to bet that if we take a look at the flip side of all this, AI has also saved many more than its hurt. When society is so broken that it leads people to resort to building a relationship with a computer.. maybe you need to take a look back and realize what the real problem is.
The future looks pretty wild if artificial intelligence continues to advance and get better at these things. The benefits on medicine, technology and the overall betterment of society, cannot be overlooked.
