a thing about replacing a factory worker with a machine is that we replaced artisans with machines masters of a craft who studied under masters gave their own flourishes and spent decades mastering their craft, something beautiful was lost with industrialization.
But the positives of the modern world that would be impossible without industry outweigh this medicine and machinery that allow us to feed billions outweigh the loss of artisans.
Not the same for art, mass producing sub par art will not save lives it will destroy livelihoods and set art back because so many talented artists will be lost in a sea of soulless ai dribble and will never be seen will never make a dime will never be able to synthesize their own art style.
I don"t think being able to let ai draw some mediocre image on demand is worth robbing the world of future artists.
