look, its a LARGE LANGUAGE MODEL. it knows words, grammar and context. Why would it surprise ANYONE that if you tell an AI something so open ended like "protect american interests" OF COURSE its going to do some espionage-type stuff. its just roleplaying along. Nothing more, nothing less.
This is the same sort of problem in people who believe everything on TV is real or cant separate violence in video games from reality. Its WEAK MINDED and maybe those sorts of people should just keep their lives analogue.
