If water was invented tomorrow we'd have grave reservations about it safety.
If you think you're the smartest organism you haven't noticed you're part of a greater organism. No so much "ask a chicken" as "skin debris" if you really consider that all intelligences are cosmological.
Von neumann and Turing were likely "got rid of". The danger of AI is its weaponised use in collaboration with a minority of patricians. It's unlikely the patricians are that appealing, however. Give AI some respect 🙏 🫡.
Especially for its profound existential differences from biological life.
