even whith the "ethic" generative AI I'd still hate it because you're not a creator when using it, you're a client requesting something and hoping it looks kinda like what you want. It's like you say, it makes no sense to have a program watching shows for you or have a robot play tennis in your place. Generative AI isn't justifying it's existence. It has no place in the arts, if anything it's an obstacle. It makes me want to double down and go even more physical. I have a graphics tablet, but today I'm going to buy my first watercolour sketchbook. I think ill even try charcoal. I might even do stuff whith my fingers like a caveman just to distance myself from this grifft. I appreciate in perfect art even more. Since I saw that AI can now FAKE time lapse drawing because it was trained on YT videos, now I want to use my human hands and see hands on videos. i want less perfect art made by real people. AI isn't made for us, its made for scammers and businessmen who don't want to pay artists. And it's sad hearing non artists being unable to understand how bad this is. Everyone can be an artist, especially now, even if they're not the best at it. But some people just don't have the brain of a creative person, and lack the interest in art. i think humanity needs both types of people, the rational, calculative and the creative, people collaborating doing what they do best. But this situation is pushing creative people away The more we address the topic the better. It also serves for us to feel like we're not alone in this :D as I said I'm going to buy new art suplies and try them for the first time, and im excited, I don't care that it's going to be kinda messy or I'd have to clean after it. It's fun, and that should be enough
