Sophia appears deliberatly "programmed" to behave in a very "robotic" way. Not meeting the interviewers gaze, looking up and around oddly [a bit like someone with downs syndrome does] giving very vanilla and non controversial answers with no "personal" opinion, the metallic classic robot speech pattern and tone. Her programmers/she gives off a disingenuous non AI air. All these things done to put the human at ease makes this/her seem more ominous overall.
