Computers are great at math - and terrible at real world.
Yes, the company has a few self driving trucks. These receive a lot of attention. Once you put enough self driving trucks on the road that each one doesn't receive the care given to the these few - you will see accidents and deaths.
Was it one of their self driving trucks that was just in the news? For no known reason it just ran off the road.
