The mother (AI) and baby (humanity) analogy is very interesting. He is right that it is better to have an AI systems with built-in "maternal instincts" to ensure AI protect humanity rather than humans (politicians) trying to retain control over AI. In the future AI will be smarter than all of us. We as humans really need to accept that fact.
