I'm not saying art poisoning is a bad idea, but tech bros are paid to take pride in their technology and subsequently fix problems that the tech encounters ("I just want to make a computer that can draw like people" is corporate speak for "I'm getting paid a lot of money to make it happen and have no further position"). What they can't fix is litigation and laws that protect art. If big corporations can pay big bucks to the tech industry so technicians (inadvertently) want to make artists disappear, they can pay more money to make AI errors disappear. I, for one, don't hate AI technology, but stealing work is a serious issue which should be addressed. All art poisoning does is slow down AI development, it doesn't actually stop it. Passing laws to protect artists and their art should be the main focus and all the art world really has right now is the legal interpretation that AI generated art is public domain and can't benefit from copyright law.
