I am agreeing with you about this situation 100%.
I not sure if this is the only way but what probably can help with that if all the websites and applications that allow to upload art will fight AI (or any software that doing that) art collectors to block their ability to collect the data. Few examples: add digital watermark into the files, not allow screenshots on their website check who access the website robot or human (and more protections that I can’t think about right now). This might make the process of collecting this data harder and maybe will cost them money and force them to get permission so to cut its cost!
