I have a job already but have been looking to move on for about 4 months. It's brutal out there. Hirers have no idea how to play it - you get told to use AI for code challenges but then get penalized for using it, or, a company will expect you to build something without AI that AI could actually do well, so you're showcasing obsolete skills. Have definitely experienced the pay issue too
