While I disagree with Elon on how to get there, Progressives have been horrible about this issue. You guys are literally just preaching doomsday shit. The fuck you hate UBI for? I don’t wanna work at Amazon no matter how much they pay me. I’d rather stay home and make music. And I don’t give a single fuck if anyone listens to it or pays me for it. I just enjoy making it. That’s why progressives hate this idea. Youre like blue collar conservatives. That 0.01% chance you could be a CEO one day keeps you attached to the politics. But instead of money, it’s power and social status through the hierarchy society creates. Who’s the famous artists, podcasters, actors, if it’s all AI? Exactly the point. This has nothing to do with AI being “evil.” Just like the shitty artists claiming AI put them out of work, you’re terrified the hierarchy you’ve perused may not be accessible to you in the future. That terrifies you. But guess what. If you’re making art for money or fame, you were never a true artist to begin with.
