I was a refrigeration mechanic. Politics ended my job as it existed. I could still do it if I accepted the political changes that came into it. With the advance of technology the race to the bottom has no end. There is no safe square on this road if you want to be employed. Only the self employed can exist but not in the long term.
Actually, since we do not use but a fraction of our full brain power the A.i. could be tasked to enhance the useful grey matter available to each person once society moves the eugenics promoters out of the way. They are a perpetual wall resisting our collective and individual development.
