This is a nuanced topic. Will this take jobs? Obviously yes. Will this make for safer roads? Yes, same for driverless cars. Should we avoid doing it because it'll take jobs? Of course not. That mindset would keep us at nearly pre-industrial revolution. It seems pretty clear that we can't avoid something like this just because it'll take jobs.
At the same time, we do need to take measures to help those who might lose such jobs. Leaning & training opportunities and the like. It isn't an easy topic with easy solutions, to be sure. But this is something that should be pursued and it seems pretty clear that such is the case.
