I think everything in this world has its pros and cons. Its advantages and disadvantages. Like happy and sadness. Like joy and despair. I appreciate how honest and straightforward he is about AI, that it is not all about “benefits” and we shouldn’t be all “too optimistic” about it and that we should consider that there’s going to be disadvantages too. I think we have to doubt and question things even if we think we are doing everything right. Even if we think it is already perfect and there’s nothing else we can do about it. There’s always something after that question. He’s somewhat a breath of fresh air because he is talking about what others are not talking about. No one will admit that. No one will be straightforward and honest about that. And considering that he’s been in the industry for many many years and still is. It’s like being a used car salesman. Why would you talk about the negatives and the not so great features of the car right? But him being honest and upfront about it, I do appreciate that more. I would most likely buy the car from him. I think we should have a more positive outlook about AI. 🤖 The Internet wasn’t and still isn’t all that positive and “benefits” either, but what is? What was the world like before the Internet? What was the world like without it? Wasn’t that a disadvantage too? The world became faster, easier, smaller, more efficient, and now more educated coz you can learn anything. Same thing with AI. The question now will be what was the world like before AI? Coz if we question what’s before and how it can change things in the future, then we can really see what’s going to be the advantages and benefits of AI and how it will impact the world for the better. If we question what’s after, it’s funny how we’re more focused on the negatives. This was a weird, ironic interview, but ok. Thanks for the honesty.
