Bernie hear and mind is in teh right direction, but there are huge falacy here. There is nothing that guarantee the survival of facebook, tesla, walmart, ford. and time and again the majority of american people have shown that they will buy the items with the lowest cost regardless of origin or production process, so if firing every single of of their employee is what it take to have a cost advantage over their competition they wioll have to do it. on the flip side, if corporate america choose to go with the goal of provind jobs, they will get slaughter by the american consumers and also global consumders who would buy from the competition who employ ai who chase cheaper products. and machine dont need a pay check. I am aware of the issue that if nobody has job, then who buy your stuff, but that is not a problem fopr corporate america to solve. the Number one goal of any business, before even making profit for share holder, is to stay in business, and that means to maintain at least a parity in production cost against domestic and global competitions. now we have have 9999999999% tariff on everything and ban ai in america and become another hermit kingdom but that is a whole different game. I doubt anyone would read this but this is basically my civic duty in participate in political discussion
