A similar argument is used to justify hacking ("genning" is the same as hacking, get over yourselves) Pokémon. "I have a life, I shouldn't have to grind breeding Pokémon in order to stand a chance in competitive matches." It's akin to a football player refusing to practice or study plays once they get drafted as the main quarterback.
Art is a skill that needs to be practiced. I suck at it. (Well digital art, at least).
On the bright side; Works created by an AI cannot be copyright protected. (We have PETA to thank for that early ruling.) Art has to be created by a human. Not a machine controlled by a human. (And prompts give the person no more 'rights' to the work then someone who gives a description to an artist. And I really wanna see an AI copyright case arguing just that.)
