Tbh I'm not an artist but all the arguments I always see against AI art stem from a belief that intellectual property is some innate quality of humanity, which it absolutely isn't. I personally have no problem at all with AI art, I quite respect those who make meaningful pieces with it, just as I respect photographers, who drew the same "not actually art" criticisms in the early days of that media form.
Get rid of intellectual property, freely share art, divest "value" from art, and suddenly art can be something all humans do, because in fact all humans are creative. Our capitalist society tricks us into thinking there's creatives and non-creatives which is wholly wrong in my experience.
