There's a book I read called Scythe. 2077 humanity finds a cure to everything including death. The government is an AI called the Thunder Head. It is incapable of breaking the law in any way. Runs the whole world threw monitors and cameras, sensors. Because everyone is living forever there are people they call Scythes that are above the law in every way and the Thunder Head cannot intervene with anything they do. If a Scythe "gleans" you that's the only way to die and not come back. If you try and run or fight them they have to "glean" you and your whole family
