Autopilot is sold to you as autonomous driving. It is legally, nothing more than just advanced safety features and driving aids. It turns of 1 second before impact, making Tesla no longer liable for any crashes.
Top it off, apparently Tesla has the worse of all the "autonomous" driving systems in the market. People need to understand, as long as the car has a steering wheel, you are in control, and everything else is just to help you
