Can I just say, these people don't realize that they are ACTIVELY turning people more against AI (disclaimer: I am not an advocate for it for SO many reasons) by doing things like this. Like they're using it to change and "fix" her art - art that is AMAZING for her age - and trying to say "she needs to learn AI" when that is NOT going to turn her towards using it. It's a perfect way to make her resent it and hate it.
Genuinely, their behavior causes the backlash they receive and it absolutely amazes me how they CANNOT seem to grasp that artists often create because they ENJOY creating. Like I doodle and draw because I have these silly little guys in my head that I ENJOY drawing.
I enjoy toying with one little detail until it's JUST right. I like learning in traditional art to accept and work with mistakes. Watercolor painting has taught me how amazing it is to watch color bloom when the brush touches paper. There is something wonderful about watching something that you work on come together in the end, and I think these things are something that they just miss out on.
