After all this people are still stupid: what used be known as just off-the-wall computer algorithms now is always called "AI".
It's a fashion term. The general populace has no idea what AI actually means and what it entails. The computers most of us come across aren't intelligent. At all.
Then again, hardly anybody seems to be thinking about actual AI. Whatever. I'm generally an optimistic person, but not when it comes to this. We created our own replacement. So be it.
