At first I was worried and discouraged from pursuing art as a career with this AI stuff. I played around with some art generators and I was simultaneously bored (soulless art) and impressed (quick, good at rendering, large output). But after reading more about it, how it works, watching videos about the technical side, and videos like this thinking about the societal effects (that are not set in stone), I've turned it around into motivation to improve my skills. Composition, taste, emotional story telling - these things are hard to create with AI (you at least need someone to tell it it's made something good). The way a concept art job works, I can't see it being entirely replaced by an AI model. And if it eventually did, then software engineers and pretty much every white collar job would be in danger at that point so there'd be bigger fish to tickle (the AI model would be able to do anything a human could, without assistance or correction).
