This is so upsetting as an older student. I graduated high school in 2018. Pre-pandemic, pre AI. Education was completely different just 7yrs ago.
Now I’m back in a college classroom at 25, using notebooks and handwriting notes, organizing study groups for the younger classmates… and people are showing up and using chatGPT during them instead of actually attempting to understand anything.
I don’t get it!! You’re paying so much, and working so hard for your degree. Why skate through on easy mode?! No one cares about good grades, they care about the actual skills you learn. You aren’t a good hire just by getting good grades. I’ve been doing things the difficult way, even if it makes me stressed, stay up late, miss time with family to dedicate to studying. I WANT to learn what I’m there for so I can actually use my knowledge for a job eventually!!
