It’s not just an “excuse” — it’s reality. AI is cutting through everything, across all industries. Where it used to take 10 workers, now one can do the job. But here’s the catch: the price of the final product doesn’t change. The salary of that one person doing the work of ten doesn’t change either. Someone’s just lining their pockets. For workers, it means layoffs; for consumers, it means no difference—or worse quality.
And the real kicker? Those laid off “because of AI” or “cost cutting” lose their income, can’t spend, can’t consume. So the overall consumer base shrinks, and all those “efficiently produced” goods end up with no one left to buy them.
