I sincerely appreciate that Dr. Hinton is the voice speaking for human welfare, even human existence, in the global dialog about evolving Artificial Intelligence. Some may think these concerns are alarmist, pessimistic, or unrealistic, but the intelligence and experience of Dr. Hinton, and others with experience and education in this field, dispute the 'everything coming up roses' narrative on which the 'AI will make us all rich' narrative is founded.
