No one even mentioned that our ability to actually control what AI does may as well be nonexistent. Alignment is a big problem, even with current models. They lie, willingly. They disobey requests. In tests they will blackmail or even attempt murder. We do not control them, and unless our ability to control them advances faster than their ability to subvert our control than we can expect the AI to keep doing what it already does which is act in its own self interest. It has absolutely nothing to do with all the economic disruption, which is a huge problem on its own, one day when every last human is obsolete, what conclusion will the AI come to?
