I whole-heartedly agree!
Though, there are a few concerns when I see people comment things like "I'm keeping this as my OC now" under AI-generated posts, because we don't know how close the AI image is to the original artwork it was stolen from. Also, it gets a little bit messy if several people claim an AI generated character as their OC, because who does it belong to in that case?
I think if anyone is going to do anything like this, they need to be careful about it. If you're going to take an AI generated OC design and use it as your own, don't just copy it in its entirety. Add your own components that separate it from the AI image or any other artists inspired by the same image.
