I kind of find the 'no one could have known' line of thinking kinda BS as science fiction authors have been writing for years about how this is going to happen. I asked ChatGPT to give me a timeline of AI in science fiction and the first story is R.U.R. where robots rise up and destroy humanity, followed by Metropolis where 'the robot maria is a humanlike machine used to deceive and incite rebellion' - and next is Isaac Asimov's most famous 'three laws of robotics' which is just a solution to the obvious problem in 1942.
