i don't really like the discussion about cars replacing horses. not because it's wrong to compare that to AI or anything, but because i feel like those conversations only rise with something disruptive to society. when climate activists advocate for a green new deal (moving from oil industry to renewable energy), they always get dismissed because "people will lose jobs", but with AI a lot of people close their eyes on that aspect
