here's a secret about AI algorithms. Currently, all data modeling (machine learning to form a data model) is based on determining the highest probability answer to a question, which means that it looks for the "best fit" answer, which in turn, is the average. Meaning, all modern AI learning techniques is to be the best average human intelligence, at the best case scenario. The theoretical best performing AI driver will be the best average driver, which according to Elon, sucks at driving. So of course, cars need more sensors and robots automation techniques to supplement the AI driver. We care about car automation, not AI driving.
