Ai can be considered a tool I would say but what constitutes a tool in art and what differentiates it from smth that does work for you and smth that only helps is not something you can objectively argue for but there is a line, a subjective line we as society except. Ai is not just a tool because we say so, easy as that. Also if this guy really wanted art to be all about self expression with no limits of what and how something is portrayed he would have been a copyright abolitionist.
