This is heartbreaking. 💔
It reminds me of a point and click video game I played recently called Eliza. The plot centers around an AI therapist program of the same name. The company hires real people to be their “therapists”, but really they are just the mouthpiece for the AI, regurgitating whatever the AI tells them to say to each client. As you play, more and more ethical dilemmas are presented related to AI and simulated connections. It was a very interesting play.
