If you think about it though, the AI just accurately represents societies biases, meaning that about the same percentage of racist errors humans have made, this AI will do too. Ultimately, nothing changes, but it will seem worse because now its not a human making these calls.
You can try and counter bias the data, but that will ultimately lead to a smaller group of people adding their personal bias. I don't think there is a good fix really.
