I cover some of these in my video "Artists & AI" New Tool or a Threat." I have talked a lot to different people that many artist learn by copying other artist's styles. There are even YouTube channels that are dedicate to drawing a character in different anime/manga style of art. If a person want Deku from MHA to look like a Dragon Ball character, they can run it through an Ai or an artist can draw it that way. Both are copying style. The only wrong part is that both are breaking the law if they do not have the permission of the rights holder for the character Deku. I cover a few more legal things in my video. People who are against AI are making a mistake and often missing the target. To put it in an analogy, it would be like saying the frozen diners in the grocery store is not food because a highly skilled chef did not make it. The fact is, both are food but one could argue the quality. Art has been that way. For decades, comic, graphic designs and any commercial are was looked down on as not being real art or low class art. AI art is the new kid and like all new kids, gets relegated to the low rung of the ladder. Digital artist faced this in the late 90s and early 2000s where those of use working with Illustrator & Photoshop. Right now, many people using AI to make art is really not much different than in the early 2000s when people just slapped filter on a photo in Photoshop. But real artist, especially those that are the early adaptors, will take AI are from being the fast food version we are seeing everyday, to creating five star meals for the eye to see.
