So true, it took me about 2 years to figure out how to make a 2d side scrolling game in Windows using the GDI. There was no AI back then to help me figure things out. I then transitioned to Linux a few months back and I wanted to repeat what I did in Windows but this time in Linux. So I went to ChatGPT and asked it something simple ... create a 2d tile map side scroller ...... It did so perfectly, then I added in extra things with my own coding and re-created in Linux what took me 2 years to accomplish in Windows. I was blown away and heart broken by this because this mean that someone with almost zero coding skills can potentially make anything by just creating a really detailed prompt. I at least can understand the generated C++ code while the zero skill coder would look and understand nothing and wouldn't be able to debug it, so for that, I'm at least happy, some what.
