Ai upscale gargling and anomalous artificacts 4:02. Basically you can limit data size if you drop resolution and use Ai to upscale. Most video games are using this and it’s terrible. You notice it more on high contrast transitions and fast moving objects. Light sources or hair, leaves on trees in the distance or smoke effects tend to be the most obvious. Basically YT is shrinking data storage to save resources. It works for photos but video content is more intensive to doctor in real time.
