If AI replaces workers → people lose income → demand drops → prices should fall. Basic supply/demand.
But here's the thing: cheaper prices don't matter if you're broke. Can't buy a $5 burger when you're making $0. The real issue is people losing purchasing power entirely. Cheap stuff is useless if nobody can afford it.
Usually automation kills old jobs but creates new ones. But if AI wipes out jobs faster than new ones pop up, we'd probably need some kind of redistribution, just to keep money circulating. Otherwise companies are stuck making products nobody can buy. Economy doesn't work without customers who have cash.
