if it had ANY intelligence, it would have stated "antelopes dont live in the jungle" it took me about two minutes to prove that chat gpt does NOT access the internet for information in real time. i assumed it would actually use some type of search engine, and was simply "plagiarising" online references. no. it makes things up if they fall outside its very limited amount of "general knowledge". asking it to refer to wiki "sure, i can do that". asking to quote first lines from article "sure, i can do that..." then proceeds to make something up with absolutely no relationship to said wiki article. correct it. it denies there being an error. asked it to do the usual, write me a simple code... in assembly language. for a pic12f683. it does NOT refer to online texts. it does not use any of the information within the datasheet. it doesnt include basic functions such as ISRs. whilst it can definitely write a sequence of "retfwie, RRL, MOVLW, and the like, with far more speed and accuracy than i ever could, what its writing is sheer nonsense. little snippets from its database scattered together in the hope that so called "word associations" are somehow correct. its no better than that 1000 monkeys typing for 1000 years... except each key is a word rather than a letter. it cant think, it cant analyse, it cant imagine. it just comes up with word associations. and when those associations are unfamilair? omfg, it goes haywire. really fun to give it modified versions of famous quotes and see it act like the "know it all toddler", when what you wrote was actually just nonsense, it tries to make a social commentary out of it. and thats my opinion of it. a smug, know it all toddler that is actually utterly stupid and ignorant about anything at all. syntaxial brutality to attempt upon, shall one engage? and finally, in conclusion, i feel the motives are far more ulterior. you sign up. your IP address, your device, you just pasted a big label to your forehead. now you proceed to engage with it, and give it a taste of your personality. the way you structure sentences. your thought processes. and then? then some company can happily take that information and tailor advertising specifically to your tastes, written in the manner you find most appealing... they know your hobbies, your thought patterns... every post online can be analysed, characteristics monitored... yeah, once i proved this chatgpt to be utter nonsense i quickly closed my account. you people might think its amazing, well... all i can say is that youre all ignorant dumbf**ks.
