Driverless trucks might be viable for long haul—terminal to terminal. This would be on interstates with terminals located just off of interstate exits. Some problems will exist, when there are accidents, road closures, road construction, detours, extreme weather conditions, attempts at theft of cargo, or theft of entire truck. There are roads in countryside that even skilled experienced drivers are tested to the max. Possibly a human driver could be replaced with a self driven truck in this situation. I mean, what could go wrong. Same city—Philadelphia—my only way to back into a dock, was to back down a one-way street the wrong way Also I worked 15 years as an in home delivery driver of new furniture, delivering to 48 contiguous states. Me and my partner carried armoires, triple dressers and king sized mattresses up stairs and in some cases—up fire escapes. Artificial Intelligence will take many jobs. Clerical, bookkeeping, doctors, nurses, truck driving, Only Fans, and Porn Stars will all be changed to varying degrees. Some AI will completely replace workers, and many times workers will be assisted by machines. Change is inevitable, some people will be left by the wayside, and others will persevere.
