Problem is, chatgpt feels like it's a person you can tell anything and it doesn't come out, you aren't judged, your friends and family and people around won't know what you said, and therapy is not just not perfectly confidential but it also costs a lot. Billions of people have been conditioned to look at everything as weird/dangerous/fetish/illegal just because they didn't experience those things, never thought about them or didn't see it on social media, and this leads to people desperately seeking out attention that won't make them feel judged just because they have something non-mainstream to talk about. You can think of any topic, there are a lot of innocent things and thoughts people might talk about and there's 0 people on the planet to talk to...
