i feel you bro. I was in translation/interpreting industry. all the hard work to learn and understand new words, new language and top of that all learn someone else's culture etc. and then suddenly the Actual Idiots (A.I) came about. taking over everywhere. I actually saw the demise of my industry in A.I's earlier days. and because like they say "if you can't beat them, join them", so i joined them. working for A.I's linguistics thinking that somehow by joining them i ll beat them from the inside. but oh how naive of me, i actually need other skills to do so, like programming. and even programmers now, as i learn, are struggling cos the Actual Idiots are making even their work obsolete. I really wonder where we are going with this.
As a Muslim, we have a Prophet's saying that warned us against drawing the creatures of God. and i always wonder if this warning is applicable to creating or designing A.I in its broader perspective, looking at the effect it has on us now.
