Fascinating and sobering issues raised. As per usual, we'll just let the marketplace and short-termed profit motivation make our decisions for us. I really wish artificial intelligence really was intelligent, then it would realize how damaging this technology will be in the long term.
Note: The complexity and speed at which weapons are used by modern militaries will probably require AI systems to control them. Is this the great filter?
