Oh I'm 2 years too late. Okay well I'll express it anyway. I have a fine line moral code regarding generative AI. I think that AI art on its own is fine. I don't mind or care much. It's a mix of so many different things that it shouldn't be an issue because it's kinda just slop. HOWEVER, specifically copying one specific art style is annoying, and if that AI is chosen over the specific artist being copied, particularly when money is involved, then I'm not for it. I don't think AI art should be on the tables when money or business is involved. Use it for conceptual purposes, for non-profit things, for fun shits and giggles. Not for promotion or profit. IF it is based on a specific person or people, then credit the source of data for the AI generation. Usually I assume the person using the AI generator won't know. But the creators of the AI generator should. If they don't, they could totally build a way to ID all art being consumed by their system. If you can't ID the artist, at least ID the original images so they can be traced. All AI art should have some kind of menu that has the option to let you see a list of sources used to create the image. With AI voice cloning, people clone the voices themselves and know what the source is. Same thing. If you use AI voice cloning, don't do it for profit unless it's a specific agreement that the voice source agreed to and is getting paid for (unless they agree not to receive compensation.... for SOME reason). AI voice cloning is for fun, shits and giggles, AI song covers as a "what it would be like if..." type thing, or dubbing, also a "What it would be like if..." type thing. Should NOT be used for clout or to claim you did something you didn't actually do (if you're cloning your own voice) or to claim someone else did or said something they didn't say or do. Should be up front about being AI, and also credit the source so people know who the voice came from but also know that person wasn't affiliated with whatever nonsense you're using their voice for. The problem? ....People..... Trusting people is a slippery slope.
